Welcome to Aultman Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program
The resident education program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Aultman Hospital is a fully accredited four-year program. The program offers a supportive environment with a well-rounded faculty. Residents are immersed into an invigorating clinical environment where all learn and all teach.
Our four-year program offers outstanding clinical experiences with exposure to the entire depth and breadth of Obstetrics and Gynecology, exceptional educational support, and multiple and varied research opportunities for our residents in a supportive, warm environment in the wonderful city of Canton.
Our Residency culture places high value on dialogue, inquiry, and the acquisition of high level clinical acumen and skills. It provides an opportunity for momentous professional growth as a surgeon engaged in the care of women's health. Our third year residents typically conclude the minimum surgical cases required by ACGME for graduation, thus permitting them to assume leadership roles, as junior faculty, during their final year of training. Our curriculum design aims to make our new interns as efficient and effective as possible, as quickly as possible, so they can get more out of their training and not just service, but thrive in residency. The faculty engagement with our residents is impactful and our supportive culture is a point of particular pride. Our program has been ACGME accredited since 1946 - over 70 years! Over the years our educational traditions have only deepened. We welcome you, as a prospective resident, to learn first hand of all the facets of our program.
